Vole Control

What Clients are Saying…

“I love Guardian pest control service. They are always on time and very efficient. Paul always answers my questions and is cheerful and friendly. I have been through several pest control companies and have finally found one I can trust.”

Voles are small, stout rodents with a blunt-nose and a short tail and are just slightly larger than a field mouse. They are brown to gray in color, 4 to 6 inches long, with large front teeth used for chewing through bark and roots.

Voles Can Inflict Considerable Damage To Yard Seemingly Overnight

These little destructive rodents (if left to their own devices) can cause serious damage to your landscaping. The good news is… they don’t particular care to invade homes and/or structures (if they do, it is usually by accident). The bad news is… Voles feed on greens above ground, and digging tunnels and chewing up roots below ground. Voles are one of Utah’s most prolific rodents, with the ability to multiply from two to over 100 in a single year. Utah voles forage on grasses, flowers, vegetables, fruits, bulbs and plant roots and in so doing, can be very destructive to your landscaping.

And To Add Insult to Injury… Voles Do Not Take A Winter Break

Voles are sneaky and destructive rodents. You may not even know you have a vole problem until after the winter snow melts. All you know is that your landscaping was looking pretty good (before the winter snow). However, now that the winter snow has melted… you suddenly notice vole damage throughout your lawn and landscaping. Unfortunately, Voles remain active year round. They do not hibernate during the winter, but instead dig tunnels beneath the snow, feeding on grass blades, the roots of grass blades, shrubs and tree bark.

Voles are rarely seen (unless there is a heavy infestation) because they spend most of the time below ground in tunnels and runways. They construct numerous surface and/or subsurface burrows and tunnels (1″ to 2″ in diameter). Abandoned vole burrow tunnels can also siphon irrigation water away from your yard… further damaging your landscaping.

With over a decade treating Utah homes, we can handle any infestation, big or small, GUARANTEED.
